Pricing List 

These prices are effective June 1 2023, and are subject to change without notice. The goods and services shown in this General Price List are those we can provide our customers. You may choose only the items you desire. However, any funeral arrangement you select will include a charge for our basic service and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement describing the funeral goods and services.

"Prior to drafting any contract for goods or services, the responsible party of the decedent’s survivor who is handling the funeral arrangements is entitled to receive a copy of any pre-need agreement in the possession of the funeral establishment that has been signed and paid for, in full or in part, by or on the behalf of the decedent.”

A. BASIC SERVICES OF FUNERAL DIRECTOR AND STAFF - $1225.00

Our charge includes consultation with the family or responsible party; staff and facilities to respond to initial requests for services, coordinating service plans with cemetery, crematory and/or other parties involved in final disposition of the decedent; securing official documents and necessary registrations and sheltering of the decedent. This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. (This fee is already included in our charges for direct cremations, immediate burials and forwarding or receiving remains.)

B. TRANSFER OF THE DECEDENT TO THE FUNERAL HOME   

Transfer within 35 miles radius, $3.50 per mile greater than 35 miles) $485.00

C. EMBALMING - $595.00

Except in certain special cases, law does not require embalming. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial. Embalming is the disinfecting and temporary chemical preservation of the remains, by professional licenses, of the State of California. Autopsy repair not included.

Some urns are displayed at the funeral home; others may be selected from a full color catalog. Some can be customized with pictures and/or lettering/dates.

Our charge for direct cremations (without ceremony) includes:

• Basic services of funeral director and staff
• Initial transportation of the decedent from the place of death to Evergreen Memorial
• (Additional charge if more than one person is required for the transportation)
• Transportation to crematory
• Plastic urn, rigid container and other misc. items.

If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternative container. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials with or without an outside covering. The containers we use are constructed of a wood-cardboard combination, (Alternative I); or unfinished particleboard with handles, (Alternative II).

Our charge for an immediate burial (without ceremony) includes:

• Basic services of funeral director and staff
• Initial transportation of the decedent from place of death to Evergreen Memorial
• (Additional charge if more than one person is required for transportation)

Our discounted package selections are offered to those families who purchase the casket from Evergreen Memorial of Sacramento, Inc. Families purchasing caskets from outside agencies, other than Evergreen Memorial of Sacramento, Inc. may select services only from the itemized section of the General Price List.

Our package selections are designed to simplify the arrangement process and to assure the family that all desired services will be provided without additional coats and to offer significant monetary savings compared to the itemized price list. Although services may be selected from the itemized portion of the General Price List, the following list of commonly selected package services may help you to select the appropriate arrangement. The following packages include only the items listed in each individual package. Additional merchandise you select and the cash advance items are not included. The nonuse of goods and services contained within any of the alternative package selections will not result in a reduction in the price of the alternative package selected. You may elect to purchase specific goods and services on an itemized basis.

Transportation for removal, services or delivery beyond the 35-mile radius is subject to an additional charge. The rate available and printed in a rate booklet at the funeral home and will be quoted at the time of need. Any items or services not included in the package price will be offered as listed on the itemized portion of the General Price List. The alternative package selections DO NOT INCLUDE charges for weekend or evening services.

A. TRADITIONAL FUNERAL SERVICE Package $ 3,900.00

• 24-hour transfer of the decedent from the place of death (within a 35-mile radius). 
• Embalming, casketing, Cosmetizing and dressing
• Use of Evergreen Memorial Chapel and committal service and Hearse
• Cloth covered wood casket or a metal Baron 20ga non-protective casket
• This service DOES NOT INCLUDE more than one person removal; after hours removal; autopsy repair, hair care, prior evening viewing, service vehicle, limousine, merchandise and cash advance items.    

B. GRAVE OR CRYPTSIDE SERVICE Package $ 2,995.00
