William Alfred Smith was born September 2, 1955, to Robert Smith Jr. and Lillian Ethel Smith in New Orleans, LA. William received his primary education in the New Orleans public school system. William graduated from George Washington Carver High School. After high school, he joined the U.S. Army. William obtained an honorable discharge from the military in California where he decided to live. After military life, William attended San Jose Community College, later became a cement mason and handyman for a number of jobs. William moved to the Sacramento California area where he met and married Cheryl.
On October 2, 2024, the Lord saw fit to bring him home. He was preceded in death by his father Robert Smith Jr. and his mother Lillian Ethel Smith who he adored and his brother Truman Smith. He leaves to cherish unforgettable memories, his wife Cheryl Jefferson, his son, who he loved with his whole heart, William Isreal Smith. He leaves to cherish his daughter Geneta Smith of Columbus, Ohio; of her mother Linda___ they continue to be friends.
William also leaves to cherish his brother Robert Smith III, sister Diana Smith, sister Edith Little, brother Donald E. Smith, and Gloria Smith.
Granddaughters; Brah, Jayla, Skyy, Daysha, Lil Will’s daughter Brooklyn, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
William will truly be missed by family and friends.
