Thurein Tun

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Thurein Tun, who passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 12:02 AM, at the age of 33.

Born on March 20, 1992, in Yangon, Myanmar, Thurein lived a life defined by kindness, humility, and compassion. From a young age, his gentle spirit and caring heart touched everyone around him. Throughout his journey, he remained true to the values he grew up with: love for others, patience, and quiet strength.

In pursuit of his education and dreams, Thurein moved to Japan, where he lived and studied for nearly five years. There, he embraced challenges with courage and perseverance, building a life filled with hard work, meaningful friendships, and personal achievement. Despite being far from home, he remained deeply connected to his roots and carried his kindness and integrity into every new relationship and experience.

In early 2023, Thurein moved to the United States, where he spent just over one year continuing to build his life. Even though his time here was brief, his presence left a deep and lasting impact on those who knew him. His kindness, sincerity, and thoughtful spirit will be fondly remembered by all.

Among the simple joys that brightened Thurein’s life was his love for enjoying good food and sharing meaningful moments with family and friends. His ability to appreciate life’s small pleasures reflected his warm and grateful heart.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate the life of Thurein Tun will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at 12:30 PM at Evergreen Memorial in Sacramento, California. The service will include a cultural ceremony with Buddhist monks, offering prayers and blessings in honor of his life and spirit.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in the lasting memories Thurein leaves behind. His love, kindness, and spirit will remain with us forever.
Rest peacefully, dear Thurein. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
