Tamela Callander Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Tamela Jane Callander, 67 years of age. Tamela (TeaJai) was born on October 29, 1957, in Danville, WI and adopted into the home of parents Eunice Clemens-Marshalek and Fransis Marshalek. TeaJai passed away on March 5, 2025, in Sacramento, CA where she resided, after a 6-year fight with breast cancer.

A cherished Mother, Grandmother, and Sister, TeaJai will be missed by all who knew her. Survived by her two children Corene Marshalek and Clayton Marshalek, four Granddaughters Samone, Madison, Kailey, and Andrea Marshalek; And two great Grandsons, Sage and Julian. She is survived also by Brother Francis Marshalek and Nephew Andrew Marshalek.

TeaJai was most proud of her educational achievements. In 1995, she graduated a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society while earning an Associate of Arts degree at Gogebic Community College. She continued her pursuit in higher education, attaining her Master of Science degree in Psychology at University of Phoenix in 2006. Although she was retired due to disability, TeaJai enjoyed her career positions as an accountant, counselor, tax assistant, and event photographer. She was an aspiring writer and enjoyed Youtube vlogging and Cricut Crafting in her spare time.

TeaJai will be missed dearly by friends and family, but rest assured her wisdom, and strength will live on in our hearts forever.
