May Sharon was born 08/08/1952 in Eureka, Ca to parents Charles and Minnie Neal. As 1 of 6 children in a military family, she spent some time as a child in the Philippines, while her formative years were spent in Camden, NJ.
May Sharon was an avid reader, ferocious shopper, and loved to travel. Throughout her life she was able to visit Germany, Paris, Amsterdam, and Canada. She was even lucky enough to win a trip to attend the American Grammy Awards in Los Angeles California.
May Sharon never forgot her time on the East coast but called Sacramento her home. Here she graduated from Sacramento city college and went on to become a long time employee of the Sacramento City Unified School district. After retiring from the school district, she thoroughly enjoyed her leisure time doing "exactly what she wanted when she wanted."
May Sharon was preceeded in death by her parents, as well as her siblings, Mamie, Cecil, and Howard Neal. Left to mourn are her brothers Charles and Raymond Neal; a host of nieces and nephews, her beloved grandson Eric L. Jackson II, son-in-law David McCray, and her only child; daughter Marla D McCray.
She was greatly loved and will be forever missed.
