Marjorie Glassman Obituary

Marjorie Helen Glassman, 7/9/1935-12/30/2025
Marjorie Helen Glassman was a friend to many. Some called her Margie, Marge, and others close to her called her "Chi-Chi." She was known for her champagne blonde hair, sparkling blue eyes, infectious laugh, and quick-witted personality. She was someone who looked at life with the glass half full.
A San Francisco native, who graduated from Star of the Sea and later attended SF Jr College. She would love to go out dancing with her friends and that is where she would meet and later marry her love, Frank Glassman. Together they would raise two daughters, Lynette and Christina and move to Daly City then San Mateo. She later went to work as a Pension Analyst for Northwest Administrators, until she retired. She thought she would do volunteer work after retirement instead she was beckoned back to work part-time for her expertise.
She always stayed connected with friends from her days at Northwest Administrators as well as friends she would meet at bingo and other social events. She had a wide circle of friends who adored her, and they always celebrated each other's special days at their favorite restaurants.
She was a glamour girl, always youthful who never refused an invitation to get away.
Whether it was to her favorite spots in San Francisco, Boulder Creek, or Mt Shasta, she never let anything stop her from living life to the fullest. She attended her first Rolling Stones concert at the youthful age of eighty-four and nothing slowed her down.
She stayed in shape walking or shopping at her favorite boutiques and specialty stores and practicing occasional Qigong and Chair Yoga. She used to leave her house and walk to downtown San Mateo to get her steps in.
She found balance in her life by spending time with family and friends and when alone she always had her favorite KBLX smooth jazz music playing in the background. She will be deeply missed for her upbeat attitude, disposition, and cute phrases. She would say the cutest things from: Howdy doody, Stay warm, Keep cool, Okey dokey, Whammy, You betcha, Tootle loo.
Marjorie passed away peacefully adorned by her favorite collection of jewelry, bracelets, and gold hoop earrings, wearing her favorite red cashmere sweater and red knitted hat.
She went out with style just like she lived her life, her way, sometimes with a cigarette in her mouth and a fancy cocktail in her hand.
Marjorie is survived by her daughters, Lynette (Shaun) Britt, and Christina Millane as well as grandson Garrett (Katie), great-granddaughter Lily, granddaughter Kaitlyn, granddaughter Lauren (Dmitriy), and great grandson Daniel. She is also survived by granddaughters Julia and Sophia Millane. Preceded in death by her love Frank Glassman, father Henry Walker, and mother Helen Knox.
