Julie Anne Saturnio

Julie Anne Saturnio (Willauer), 59, of Sacramento, California, passed away peacefully at home on June 4th, 2026, following a courageous battle with cancer.

     Julie was born on June 22nd, 1966 at Homestead Air Reserve Base, Florida. She spent her childhood in New England then attended Radford High School in Hawaii. During that time she was  a dedicated member of the Hickam swim team, enrolled in ROTC, and graduated with honors in 1984.  From there she began her 30 year career in the Air Force Reserves. In addition to her military job, she did various administrative work including some for the offices of the Davis Police Department. 

     Julie loved to travel with her husband of 28 years, Conrad, to places all over the country, especially back to Hawaii and the East Coast. Julie  enjoyed spending time with family and was a devoted wife, step-mother, grandma, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many.  Julie, “Flipper”, also loved the ocean, animals, and listening to music. 

     She is survived by her husband, Conrad Saturnio Jr., her step-daughters and their partners Easter Saturnio-Palmer and Doug Palmer, Tanya Saturnio and Ken Cooper, her granddaughters, Sofia Cooper and Arizona Cooper, her father Eliot “Buzz” Willauer Jr. and his partner Cynthia DeLuca, her brother, Eliot Willauer III and his partner Lisa Willauer, along with several beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by her mother, Louise Willauer (Faucher) and her mother-in-law , Isabel Saturnio.

     A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, June 30th, 2026, at 9:30 am at Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Sacramento, Ca. Burial service immediately to follow at 11:30 am at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, Ca.  An East Coast Celebration of Life for Julie will be organized by her brother, Eliot, at a later date.
