David Pamaipilialoha Ho'opai passed peacefully on May 2, 2025 in Sacramento, California at the age of 54 into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Born September 4, 1970 in Honolulu, Hawaii, he was raised on the island of Moloka'i and enlisted in the US Army upon his highschool graduation. He proudly served his country with deployments in Desert Storm and Desert Shield and worked closely with his fellow veterans.
David exuded a true heart of the aloha spirit, bringing laughter, joy, generosity and love to those he was surrounded by. He is dearly missed and his cherished memory will live on through his loved ones.
He is survived by his wife, Tubuna, children; DJ, Malia, and Sarah, grandchildren; Mo, Alex, Kalelia, Sekuri, Ratu D, Makaveli, and Gee dad; Philip, sisters; Davalynn, Suki, April, Maka, brother; Samuel, and large extended 'ohana. He is preceded in death by parents David Kawika Ho'opai and Clara Gallinger
Friends and family are invited to a celebration of life on May 20, 2025 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 7401 24th Street Sacramento, CA. Visitation and
Service 7:30 am - 9:30 am.
Private family burial to follow immediately at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in
Dixon, CA.
