Athecia Christine Martinez

      Athecia Christine Martinez, 31, of Sacramento, passed away on November 21, 2024.
Athecia was born on March 22, 1993 at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento to
loving parents, Michael and Artemia. Athecia was a proud mother to son, Jo’El, 11, and
loved by many family members and friends. She graduated from Encina High School
and found a passion in food and restaurant services while working at the DoubleTree by
Hilton Hotel. Athecia was an adoring and dedicated mother and brought humor and a
smile with her everywhere she went. Athecia loved the San Francisco 49ers and Giants,
Batman, exploring, trying different cuisines, Bay Area music and spending time with
family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on December 12, 2024 at 10:00am at St. Ignatius
Loyola Catholic Church (3235 Arden Way, Sacramento, CA 95825). In lieu of flowers,
the family asks you to consider donating to a GoFundMe fundraiser to support Athecia’s

Athecia will be remembered fondly by her kind heart and willingness to help others. Her
easy going attitude and laughter were a reminder to enjoy life's moments. She will be
missed dearly by all.
